What season/harvest of Raw Organic Walnuts are you currently shipping?

Please sign up for our newsletter below for all updates on harvests and releases.

As we always sell out of our seasonal harvest every year, we highly recommend ordering enough goodies to last you a few months, or the entire year ahead!

Why do I have to "pre-order" CORKY'S NUTS 2023 Harvest of Raw Organic Walnuts?

Our Raw Organic Walnuts are grown in Northern California and harvested every Fall during the month of October. By offering our newest harvest through a "pre-order" method, you're able to reserve your desired bounty as it's growing on the trees. Think of it like a "walnut Kickstarter".

Pretty fun, right?

Our mission is for you to have access to FRESH, AMAZING tasting organic walnuts. Come December, once your walnuts have been harvested, cracked out, and hand-packed with love, we ship these beauties directly to you. We can't wait either!

Can I purchase more CORKY'S NUTS Raw Organic Walnuts during the year or when I run out?

When our current 2023 annual harvest sells out, that's it. We recommend getting enough to last you and your family until the next harvest in the Fall of 2024.

By offering our crop seasonally, you are able to experience a most delicious walnut fresh off the tree!

Do you sell gift cards?

Why YES, we do! You're welcome to buy in any amount and they can be purchased HERE.

How will I know when my CORKY'S NUTS order has shipped?

You will receive email notification of shipment with tracking info once we have processed and packaged your order.

If you have "pre-ordered" an item with a release date posted, your order will ship based on the date it was placed. You should expect to receive shipping notification within 1-2 weeks from the "estimated release date" noted on your invoice.

If no release date is posted, your order will ship within 1-3 business days, unless otherwise noted on the product page.

Also please be aware that if you're ordering a "pre-order" item with an estimated release date posted, along with a non-preorder item, everything will ship at the same time after the release date.

It is advised that you place a separate order for anything that is available now and needed right away.

What is the difference between a HARTLEY and a CHANDLER walnut?

The Hartley variety is Corky's favorite. Mainly because it has a richer and nuttier walnut flavor profile. Visually, the Hartley can be a little darker in color and will have an assortment of smaller pieces in each bag.

The Chandler variety is lighter than the Hartley and cracks out in larger pieces and halves. They have a slightly milder flavor and are great for a walnut first-timer.

Both varieties are great for decoration on pastries, cakes, or just eating straight out of the bag! All of our fresh, Raw Organic Walnuts have a smooth, buttery finish and flavor profile.

How long are your Raw Organic Pecans available for?

Our 2024 fresh Winter Harvest is available for preorder and will be released in May.

Why are CORKY'S NUTS Raw Organic Walnuts seasonal and offered not year-round?

We are committed to providing you with fresh, delicious organic walnuts. In order to do this, we ship our nuts directly to you within weeks of our annual Fall harvest and continue to ship these gems until we sell out.

A walnut enjoyed straight off the tree tastes entirely different from most walnuts you may be familiar with. Many walnuts you may currently have access to on grocery store shelves can be anywhere from up to 1, to even 3 years old at the time of purchase. This length of time greatly affects the fragile oils in a walnut and the result is a tart, bitter aftertaste.

Yes, that's what you're tasting, an old walnut and we know it's no fun. It's also why our family created a way for you to have access to the same, fresh organic bounty that we do. Gone are the days where you have to worry about biting into a yucky walnut.

Our organic walnuts are creamy, buttery, and smooth. No bitterness, just goodness.

What's the best way to store CORKY'S NUTS fresh nut provisions?

Our seasonal, Raw Organic Walnuts should be kept sealed and in cold storage as the oils are fragile. Sunlight and warm temperatures will alter the oils, which can quickly affect the taste and quality of the meat. Walnuts can also be placed in the fridge for up to 6 months and freezer for up to a year.

To maintain the freshness and quality of your nuts, be sure to always keep them sealed and at a temperature between 33 and 41F.

Our Cold Pressed Organic Walnut Oil, Raw Organic Walnut Butter & Raw Organic Walnut Meal should ALWAYS be kept sealed and in the fridge to maintain freshness at all times. If you are enjoying these products quite quickly (within 2 weeks), they can be left out.
